FRECCE TRICOLORI DRAWING
We celebrate this year the 60th anniversary of the Frecce Tricolori, a well-known Italian aerobatic air team, which has operated 3 types of aircraft since 1961 : North-American F86 Sabre, Fiat G91, then Aermacchi MB339 since 1982.
I had the opportunity to see them on display at Cazaux AB, in 2016. They are very impressive by their maneuvers, and precision.
HAWKER HUNTER T.68 SWISS AIR FORCE
A1 size drawing of one of the most beautiful aircrafts produced, the Hawker Hunter.
This one is a training version (two-seater, side by side) T.68, converted in 1972 for the Swiss Air Force.
This aircraft is operated by a Swiss association named "Amici Dell Hunter", which also uses a De Havilland Vampire for first flights.
BOEING F/A-18F SUPER HORNET
A1 size drawing
As a successor of the almighty F-14 Tomcat, the F/A-18F Super Hornet is an American twin-engined multirole fighter, which performs its first flight in 1995. It is a state-of-the-art version of the Hornet, slightly bigger than him, with rectangular-shaped air inlets, and modernized avionics. it is mainly used in the U.S Navy and the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force).
The aircrafts drawn are operated by the well-known US Navy unit VFA-103 "Jolly Rogers", formerly named VF-84.
GRUMMAN F-14 TOMCAT 'JOLLY ROGERS'
After the Super Hornet, here is another aircraft from the 'Jolly Rogers', the F-14 Tomcat.
You might have seen Tomcats with same markings, chasing and intercepting A6M Zeros replicas in the movie 'The Final Countdown' released in 1980, with Kirk Douglas and Martin Sheen.
A huge thanks to Ed Caco, who really helped me to get the official squadron logos.
A1 size drawing of one of the first Volvo cars ever built, the Volvo PV36 'Carioca', released in 1935, until 1938. Almost 500 cars were built in these three years.
This car was well-powered (80 hp), 4-door car, 4 seats, quite luxury.
First released after the World War II, in 1946, the Volvo PV60 was kind of a station wagon, with a certain amount of space inside. Despite its old-American look, it had acquired almost 3000 customers. Today, there are a few models still in a good shape, but not so many, compared to the PV444.
Volvo P1800S 'The Saint'
Manufactured and marketed by Volvo between 1961 and 1972, the P1800S was a 2+2 rear-drive sports car.
It was a co-star from the TV series 'The Saint' between 1962 and 1969, with Roger Moore, and almost looked like an MG model, with its coupe style, and long hood.
Today, there are some of them for sale, and some rare models could reach almost £85.000.
Citroen 2CV Van 1960's
A special commission for an automobile addict who has completely restored a Citroen 2CV Van from scratch. The drawing has been made in an A3 sheet.
